The Mabu Thermas and Resort is a modern comfortable hotel. It is situated about 20 minutes from the falls, and 5 minutes from the Argentina/Brazil border. The hotel takes its name from 4 thermal springs all at 36c which are located at the hotel. The hotel has a number of bars and restaurants and has 208 rooms. 

The Machan Wildlife Camp is located in the grounds of the Royal Chitwan National Park. Accommodation is provided in simple twin-bedded lodges with toilet and shower facilities. The central lodge houses the dining area and bar. There is also a small swimming pool. There is electricity at the resort at certain times of the day (namely lunch time and in the early evening) but at other times each lodge is lit by kerosene lamps and water is heated by solar panels. The Marriott Springhill Suites is located in the picturesque old port area. All 124 rooms are of above-average size and feature ironing board and iron, tea and coffee-making facilities. Bathrooms have hairdryers. The hotel serves an extensive continental breakfast (juices, yoghurts, cereals, fruit, cold meats, cheeses, toast etc., but no cooked eggs or hot dishes), but does not offer lunch or dinner as the hotel itself does not have a full service kitchen. Outside Ulan Bator accommodation is in the traditional circular tents or 'Gers', made from canvas stretched around a fixed wooden framework. Facilities are very basic, each ger containing 4 beds, a wood stove, table and chairs, but little else - the communal shower block is separate and there is a central dining tent. Hot water is not always available. This tour is therefore only suited to more adventurous travellers who are prepared to accept these basic facilities, which are in fact the best available in these destinations. Bales are pleased to advise you that we have secured accommodation based on 2 passengers only in each ger instead of 4. Naturally this has resulted in higher costs but we feel most of our passengers would prefer this arrangement.

The MS Nordnorge was built in 1997 and has been cruising in the South Atlantic since 2002. She is 11,386 tonnes and although licensed to carry 450 passengers, only sails to Antarctic with a maximum of 350. Ms Nordnorge décor has Art Nouveau and Art Deco influences. During the cruise, your expedition team will co-ordinate the on-board programme and guest lecturers will talk about subjects such as geology, climate, local culture, wildlife and the history of exploration.  

Situated on the Western side of Chobe National Park, Muchenje Safari Lodge is the only lodge in this area and offers unique prolific game viewing experiences. The central lodge has a stunning panoramic view of the Caprivi flood plains and overlooks its own waterhole frequented by all species of game and includes a dining area, lounge, bar and reception, shop and game viewing platform overlooking the waterhole. The lodge's swimming pool, built amongst natural rock formations, takes full advantage of the African vista and provides a tranquil setting for guests to relax during the heat of the day.  

The Eclipse is a luxury cruise ship, which accommodates a maximum of 48 passengers in 27 cabins. Fully air-conditioned, the spacious cabins have either a double or twin bed and private facilities. A crew of 29 plus up to 4 naturalist guides, well-equipped lounge, indoor and outdoor dining area, library/video room, observation/sun deck and physician on board. 

The MV Paramhamsa is a four-decked vessel, with 20 cabins on the main deck and 12 cabins on the first deck. Each of the cabins are river facing and have en-suite facilities, air-conditioning and a tea/coffee maker. Facilities include a restaurant, bar, gym, massage room and a library. 

The M/V Santa Cruz is a 46-cabin, 1st class vessel that was completely renovated in 1998 and has a capacity of 90 passengers. Exclusively built for Galapagos cruising with a crew of 54 persons, 6 multilingual naturalist guides, one permanent physician on board, 46 cabins on 3 decks, 5 zodiacs, one glass-bottom boat, air-conditioning, jacuzzi, snorkelling equipment, boutique/souvenir shop, small library and sundeck.
