Yacht La Pinta is a stylish 63 metre long luxurious expedition vessel, which after an extensive renovation will start sailing in the waters of the Galapagos archipelago in March 2008. Her capacity of just 48 passengers will be comfortably accommodated in 24 cabins, situated on the Upper Deck. The air-conditioned cabins will all offer panoramic views. The window-lined Dining Room will be situated on the Main Deck. Spacious public areas on the Boat Deck will include a large Observation Lounge which can also be used for outdoor dining. Also on the Boat Deck will be an outside Sky Bar, exercise room, Jacuzzi and a well stocked natural history library. With a modern design, La Pinta is assured to bring new levels of comfort and service to Galapagos cruising. 

The pleasant Ya-koo Lodge near Santa Elena is a complex of 7 thatched oval cottages (each containing 2 rooms) in the local style. The rooms all have small private bathrooms with a glassed-in shower, but are fairly simple. The lodge is German-run and more sophisticated than the Chivaton, with a very attractive open-sided bar, restaurant and gift shop area housed in the central thatched main building. Food is of a good standard. There is a ‘pool’ in the grounds, which is in fact a dammed section of the stream that runs through the grounds.  

The Yangkhil Hotel is a new hotel located on the outskirts of Tongsa. All 21 rooms are pleasantly located throughout the grounds of the hotel and all come with attached bathroom. The cosy restaurant serves good Bhutanese, Chinese, Indian and continental food. 

Orignally an Italian villa dating from the 1920s, the Yefren Hotel is located in the centre of the town and all 18 rooms have air-conditioning, television and ensuite bathroom (with shower only). There is one restaurant serving freshly prepared meals and if the weather is pleasant enough these are taken on the outdoor terrace which commands superb views of the surrounding valley.
